Ramah Day Camp provides a warm and nuturing environment for campers to explore their interests and talents in a warm, nurturing Jewish environment, designed to foster strong social connections and promote the development of each camper. Located in Elkins Park, Pennsylvania, Ramah Day Camp enjoys a beautiful outdoor campus as well as spacious, air-conditioned indoor facilities. Our days are packed with a wide variety of exciting, fun, activities including sports, swim, creative and performing arts, nature, outdoor adventure programs, and more. Ramah Day Campers make new friends, learn new skills, and create memories that last a lifetime.
Ramah Day Camp also offers specialized summer programs for older children and teens: our Etgar leaders-in-training (LIT) program, for current 6th and 7th graders, and our Counselors-in-training (CIT) program for current 8th-9th graders.
Our full camp season is 8 weeks, with 4 and 6 week options.
Ramah Day Camp is part of the Camp Ramah in the Poconos organization. Established in 1950, Camp Ramah in the Poconos has been creating warm, nurturing, and fun environments for our campers for over sixty years. Located on 90 acres in the beautiful Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania, our overnight camp provides summer programs for children in grades 2 through 10. In 1996, the Ramah Day Camp was established to bring the Ramah experience to younger children and their families in the Philadelphia area. For 20 years, we’ve created a Ramah Day Camp experience that we’re proud of and that’s impacted the lives of thousands of campers and their families in our Greater Philadelphia community.
Ramah Day Camp is a proud member of the international network of Ramah camps, which serves as the camping arm of the Conservative Movement, under the auspices of the Jewish Theological Seminary. The Ramah network includes four day camps operating with great success in the Philadelphia, Chicago, D.C. and New York areas, as well as eight overnight camps, and Ramah programs in Israel.
